Information Day was held at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS by National Contact Points on Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 of the European Commission
Opening the event, Professor Misir Mardanov, Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS spoke about the importance of Horizon 2020 in integrating our scientists into world science.
Then National Contact Point for Legal and Financial Aspects, Head of the Department of the Institute of Control Systems PhD Tofig Babayev, National Contact Point for Mari Skladovskaya Curie Scholarship Program, Head of the Department of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS PhD Zaur Hasanov, National Contact Point on Climate Activity, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials, Leading specialist of the Institute of Geography PhD Rovshan Karimov made speech, discussed the possibility of joining new project challenges, the rules for presenting projects, the recommendations of mathematicians on their active participation in Horizon 2020, and answered the questions of the participants.
At the end, the correspondent member of ANAS, Professor Misir Mardanov thanked the speakers and suggested to create a group for the HORIZON 2020 program at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics to increase the activity of mathematicians in this program.
