Azerbaijan scientists attended 7th meeting of Eastern Partnership Research and Innovation panel
7th meeting of Eastern Partnership Research and Innovation panel was held in Brussel, Belgium. The meeting was attended by representatives of various governmental, scientific and educational institutions of the EU Member States and Eastern Partnership countries. Presentations and reports were made on the results of the EU-EaP Research and Innovation Conference for 2019 and the discussion of the 2020 action plan, support for research and innovation in the Eastern Partnership, key results and cooperation suggestions within the framework of the EU EaP Plus project, diagnostics and comparative analysis of the current situation in the field of technology transfer in 12 neighboring EU countries, information on Proposal Writing Camp and Expert Consultation events and on Maria Sklodowska-Curie scholarship program, Horizon EUROPE program for 2021-2027 and the participation of the Eastern Partnership countries in COST projects, etc., priority fields of research and innovation , events dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership, scientific topics and areas of technology transfer activities were discussed at the meeting.
Our country was represented by Emin Safarov, representative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Belgium, members of the Horizon 2020 NCP network in Azerbaijan: NCP on Legal and Financial Aspects, Head of Foreign Relations and Innovations Division of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS Tofig Babayev, NCP on European Research Council Aspects, Manager on Strategic Development of the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Organization Ilham Humbatov, NCP on Marine and Maritime Research, Bioeconomy and Biotechnology Aspects, Head of the Department of Health Policy and Planning, Center for Public Health and Reforms of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nabil Seyidov.
The Azerbaijani delegation actively participated in the general and individual discussions. I. Humbatov made a presentation on the session dedicated to the topic of participation of the Eastern Partnership countries in COST projects, T. Babayev held individual meetings with the representative of Proposal Writing Camp Matthias Wurch, and representatives of Belarus and Georgia and discussed future cooperation opportunities.
